Bomb explosion has occurred in Azare, headquarters of Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The incident occured about 5:45pm Sunday at the popular GSM market called Kasuwar Waya in Azare.
This is the second blast in Azare town in two weeks by a suicide bomber
It was gathered, that two persons a man and a woman were behind the blast. The bomb was said to be strapped on the body of the female who successfully detonated her bomb causing many injuries and possible deaths while the male counterpart was not successful in detonating his.
The residents of the area where the bomb was detonated were quick to react. However, he was said to have been roasted alive.
The injured and killed were said to have been taken to Federal Medical Center, Azare – which is located about 500meters away from the GSM market.
Meanwhile the Bauchi state Command Police Public Relation DSP. Haruna Mohammed confirmed the incident but said,” details later”
A source close to scene of the explosion said The death toll is expected to be high
