Breaking: Ex-FCT Senator Aduda storms APC national secretariat

Shortly after announcing his resignation from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the immediate-past senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Philip Aduda, has stormed the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Discoverer Nigeria reports that Aduda is currently in a closed-door meeting with the National Chairman of APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.

The Senator came to APC house in company of two recently elected Area Council Chairman in the Territory.

Aduda had, earlier officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, citing ongoing crises within the party.

Aduda communicated his decision in a letter dated March 17, 2026, addressed to the chairman of the PDP in Karu Ward, Abuja.

In the letter, he described his resignation as effective immediately, citing persistent party conflicts as the reason.
