BREAKING: FG to sale cheaper fuel for 30 days

Following months of pressure from Nigerians over high fuel cost, the Federal Government on Thursday said it plans a 30-day cheaper fuel sale at NNPC filling stations.

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, announced this at a press conference in Abuja.

“There’ll be a discount on NNPC petrol for the next 30 days, with priority for public transporters”, the minister said.

According to him, the government will also negotiate landing cost, “which will be reviewed monthly” to further ease the price of petroleum products, which has significantly raise transportation cost and inflation.
