Jubilation breaks out in Kaduna over Governor Uba Sani’s approval of N72,000 minimum wage for workers in the state. In furtherance of his welfare policy, he has also provided 100 special Buses to ease the transportation costs for workers.
This was contained in a press release issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Malam Ibrahim Musa on Thursday.
A cross-section of Civil society group leaders noted that the initiative aims to improve living conditions for the underserved while reaffirming the governor’s commitment to workers’ rights.
The Free Transportation Scheme, according to the release, will commence with the launching of 100 CNG buses to facilitate daily commutes for civil servants.
This programme, managed by a Joint Committee of labour representatives and the state government, is designed to alleviate workers’ burdens and boost productivity.
Governor Sani emphasized his administration’s dedication to transforming the lives of the less privileged, positioning Kaduna State as a model for social welfare initiatives.
