Breaking: Kaduna’s Peace Model Secured Strategic Wins for Uba Sani at G20, Says Back2Back Movement

Date:

The Uba Sani Back2Back Movement has declared that Governor Uba Sani’s acclaimed Kaduna Peace Model was the decisive force that unlocked a series of major diplomatic and economic gains during his engagement with the leadership of Precious Metals Tswane (PMT), a globally recognised South African refinery, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg.

Speaking at a press conference in Kaduna on Thursday, the Movement’s Director of Strategic Communications, Hadiza Mohammed, said the Governor’s peace-driven governance style has restored investor confidence and positioned the state as Nigeria’s most promising destination for responsible mineral development.

Mohammed explained that PMT’s decision to select Kaduna as its preferred expansion hub was a clear reflection of global trust in the stability and transparency fostered by the Kaduna Peace Model.

She noted that international investors now regard Kaduna as a state where regulatory clarity, security improvements, and predictable policies make long-term investments viable and safe.

She further disclosed that the proposed establishment of an aggregation and processing centre by PMT represents a critical step in placing Kaduna at the centre of Nigeria’s precious metals value chain.

According to her, situating processing infrastructure closer to mining fields will significantly boost state revenues, deepen in-state value addition, and reduce the losses associated with exporting raw minerals.

Mohammed also highlighted the partnership’s plan to drive technology transfer and capacity building for artisanal miners across Kaduna. She said thousands of informal miners will now have access to modern tools, structured training, and internationally accepted mining standards—transforming them from subsistence labourers into globally competitive operators.

On environmental sustainability, the Back2Back Movement emphasised that PMT’s insistence on an ESG-compliant mining framework mirrors Governor Uba Sani’s development ethos. Mohammed stressed that under the Kaduna Peace Model, responsible mining practices that safeguard water bodies, forest reserves and host communities are now non-negotiable pillars of the state’s economic agenda.

She added that another major gain is the strengthening of the Kaduna Mining Development Company (KMDC), which now takes on an elevated role in coordinating and managing the PMT partnership.

According to her, KMDC’s enhanced technical capacity represents a major institutional victory that enhances Kaduna’s credibility in continental precious metals development.

The Back2Back Movement concluded that Kaduna State, under the firm leadership of Governor Uba Sani, remains fully open to credible investors who prioritise sustainability, transparency and innovation-driven value creation.

Mohammed said the PMT engagement—enabled by the Kaduna Peace Model—has laid a historic foundation for new jobs, improved revenues, industrial growth and broad-based economic inclusion for the people of Kaduna State.
