The Northwest Democrats Assembly (NDA) has commended Governor Uba Sani for his transformative leadership, citing six key initiatives that have transformed Kaduna State.
The group, at a Press Conference in Kaduna hailed Governor Sani’s strategic vision, which has attracted significant investments, empowered youth, promoted gender equality, addressed climate change, ensured food security, and championed disability inclusion.
“Governor Sani’s Smart City Project, valued at $150 million, is set to create 100,000 direct jobs and 500,000 indirect jobs, bolstering the state’s economy. Additionally, the State Skills Development Council has been established to equip youth with vital skills for employability and entrepreneurship”, the group explained.
The group said in order to promote gender equality, Governor Sani signed the Gender-Responsive Procurement Policy, ensuring women-owned businesses have equitable access to government contracts. It said the move strengthens Kaduna’s economic fabric and empowers female entrepreneurs.
They went on to say that Kaduna State has also taken a leading role in climate action, ranking second nationwide for its comprehensive environmental policies. It said the initiative, focuses on reducing carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy.
“Furthermore, Governor Sani’s administration distributed 15,000 metric tons of fertilizer to farmers, significantly boosting agricultural productivity and ensuring food security for the state’s citizens.
“We are also excited that in another groundbreaking move, Governor Sani has championed disability inclusion, collaborating with NGOs to ensure equal opportunities and integration for persons with disabilities.”
Khadija Mohammed Bello, Coordinator of the Northwest Democrats Assembly, then said, “Governor Uba Sani’s multifaceted approach to governance reflects his dedication to creating an inclusive, prosperous, and sustainable Kaduna State. We urge all stakeholders to support and build on these initiatives.”
The assembly’s endorsement is the latest in a series of accolades for Governor Sani’s developmental strides, solidifying his reputation as a visionary leader.
