In a landmark declaration on International Women’s Day 2025, Governor Uba Sani has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to women’s empowerment, unveiling robust legal frameworks designed to dismantle barriers and accelerate gender equality in Kaduna State.

Speaking with passion and conviction, the governor emphasized that Kaduna is setting the pace in championing women’s rights, ensuring that policies are not just words but actionable blueprints for change.

“We have put in place solid legal structures that will drive our programmes and projects, ensuring women have equal access to opportunities in all spheres of life,” he stated.

Governor Uba Sani’s administration has already demonstrated a trailblazing approach—from appointing women to strategic leadership roles to rolling out empowerment initiatives that have uplifted thousands across the state. In November 2024, his administration launched the Kaduna State Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Policy, alongside the Women Peace and Security Action Plan, and the Youth Peace and Security Action Plan, marking a significant step towards institutionalizing gender equality.
