Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has taken steps to ensure Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) moves into a world-class broadcast player.
The administration has paid over N35 million to the Nigerian Communication Satellite Commission (NIGCOMSAT) for Direct-to-Home (DTH) broadcasting services.
This significant investment has reportedly enhanced the video content of KSMC, elevating it to high-definition standards. The Corporation’s audience reach has also expanded globally, with its signals now accessible on Free-to-Air Decoders on 12518 & 12589 frequencies and 29500 & 26250 symbol rates. The coverage spans Nigeria, West Africa, parts of Southern Africa, Europe, and Asia.
According to Ahmed Maiyaki, Managing Director of KSMC, “We are grateful to Governor Uba Sani for his trust and confidence in our drive to transform KSMC into a world-class broadcast player. This partnership with NIGCOMSAT is a significant milestone in our digitization journey, and we are excited about the prospects of reaching a wider audience with high-quality content.”
