Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has hailed Nigeria’s bilateral talks with Brazil as a potential game-changer for the nation’s agriculture and food security, projecting a future of massive investments worth over $30 billion.

Governor Sani, who was part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s high-powered entourage to the bilateral meetings, told the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) that he was impressed by Brazil’s firm commitment to open up vast opportunities for Nigeria in the agricultural sector.

“I’m happy about what we discussed during the bilateral meetings. We’re looking at over $30 billion in the area of agriculture—food security. And what is most important to me is, for the first time, I’ve seen a country that is willing and ready to open up opportunities for Nigeria,” the governor said.

Analysts note that the outcome of the talks aligns with Governor Sani’s own blueprint of repositioning Kaduna as a hub for mechanized farming, agro-industrial processing, and food value-chain development. With the prospect of Nigeria tapping into Brazil’s advanced agricultural technology and financing, Sani believes the partnership will not only boost local production but also create thousands of jobs for Nigerians.

He further emphasized that the commitment shown by Brazil reflects growing international confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and marks the beginning of a new era of mutually beneficial partnerships that will secure Nigeria against recurring food crises.

Observers see Uba Sani’s proactive voice at the talks as a signal of Kaduna’s readiness to play a frontline role in translating the Nigeria-Brazil partnership into concrete results on the ground.
