Buhari an embodiment of good leadership, says ex-Minister

President Muhammadu Buhari has been described as an embodiment of good leadership during a book presentation in his honour in Abuja Monday to mark the third anniversary celebration of “The Nigerian News”
Speaking as the Chief Host at the event, a former Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs and a Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr. Sam Ode said President Buhari is changing the narrative by making all things to fall into place.
He said the previous event has taken place in London and they decided to bring it home this time around to make a statement that Nigerians can report their country better.
He said the main aim of founding “The Nigerian News” was to change the narratives associated with reporting Nigeria and activities taking place in the country towards a better society through patriotism.
Ode noted that although they have taken off, but have not touched the realm of perfection saying that life is dynamic.
He also informed that the award ceremony was to honour great Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their chosen profession.
He thanked the judges for selecting the best noting that no one can fault their sense of judgment in the selection they have made.
He said the book on Buhari titled “Integrity vs Power Play: Understanding the Buhari Phenomenon” by Philip Agbese is an inspiring book that dwells on silent angles of Buhari’s achievements that depicts good leadership which will certainly help all to chat a new course for Nigeria.
Chairman of the occasion and a former Senate President, Dr. Ken Nnamani who was represented by Sen. Jonathan Zwingina urged the audience to get the book saying the content will educate Nigerians on the struggle, determination on how to uplift the nation for better.
He said the award will greatly encourage the recipients to do more and make the public emulate them.
Author of the book and popular Newspaper columnist, Mr. Philip Agbese said the book is about all of us and the role we supposed to play for nation’s building.
The highpoint of the occasion was the presentation awards of “Activist of the Year” to Alhaji Abubakar Tsav “Most Outstanding Legend of the Year” to Gen. Tukur Buratai “Fiscal Policy and Transparency Star of the Year” went to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
Other notable Nigerians were also given awards of different category.
