President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with Chief Joseph Akpieyi, Chairman of Arco Group Plc and former Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Petroleum Refining Company, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
According to a statement made available to news en yesterday by his spokesman,,Femi Adesuna, the President expressed gratitude to Engr Akpieyi on his numerous contributions to the growth of the oil and gas sector in the country during long years of meritorious service to his fatherland, first in his 26-year career in the public service, and later as a private citizen, committed to creating employment opportunities for Nigerians to develop their potentials in the petroleum industry.
He expressed the believe that many Nigerians who have come in close contact with Engr. Akpieyi as former colleagues, associates, and admirers, proudly testify of his talents and exceptional leadership qualities, required of those wishing for a better tomorrow.
For his profound work ethics that has inspired many Nigerians who worked under his leadership in the oil and gas industry and for his devotion to the rapid socio-economic development of Nigeria, the President wished the octogenarian more years of good health and fulfillment in his endeavours.
