Former head of state and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, has urged communities across the country to unite against the insecurity threatening the survival of the country.

Buhari stated this while on a sympathy visit to communities affected by the recent terror attack that killed at least 103 persons in Faskari and Sabuwa local government areas of Katsina state.

The former head of state advised communities to always be alert on happenings in their environment, adding that ‘people should come together to beat insecurity. People should report any suspicious movement of persons not known to them’.

Buhari similarly re-affirmed his earlier position that the on-going security challenges facing Nigeria was a plot to destroy the country, alleging that the plot was started from the North.

“Look at what is happening; the insecurity started from Maiduguri and has reached places like Kano, now Katsina and Kaduna state. With this, it will gradually cover the whole country if nothing is done”, he lamented.

The APC chieftain however, noted that it was encouraging that the government was now pushing to get at the root of the problem, which he added was a major step in addressing it.
