Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha has described the late former President Muhammadu Buhari as a national leader whose enduring legacies continue to earn him respect within Nigeria and across the international community.
Speaking at a media briefing ahead of the first anniversary of Buhari’s passing, Mustapha disclosed that friends, associates and admirers of the former president are organising a series of commemorative events to honour his life and contributions to the nation.
He said the events are expected to attract prominent personalities from across the country, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is scheduled to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
According to Mustapha, the highlight of the commemoration will be the public presentation of a book of tributes titled “Tributes and Condolences in Honour of Muhammadu Buhari,” which will be unveiled by President Tinubu.
He explained that the publication contains condolence messages and tributes from members of the international community, including heads of state, diplomats and political leaders, reflecting on Buhari’s life, leadership and enduring legacy.
Mustapha noted that the tributes portray the late president as a leader remembered for his simplicity, resilience and integrity, qualities he said distinguished Buhari throughout his years in public service.
