The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai has condoled the Kaduna state Nigerian Union of Journalist Council over the death of the former Secretary Mr. Dominic Uzu who died in a ghastly motor accident.
Buratai who spoke through Acting Director Public Relations Nigerian Army Colonel Sagir Musa said, the death was a minus to journalism profession considering his immense and laudable contribution to the noble profession.
Buratai also condoled with Dominic immediate family and relation over the death.
Responding, the Council’s Chairman Comrade Adamu Yusuf thanked Buratai for the condolence visits and also assured to continue to give the Nigerian Army their maximum support towards the ongoing war on insurgency.
In another development, Buratai sympathized with the management of Freedom Radio over the recent fire outbreak at the station. He prayed for God to help future re-occurrence.
Responding on behalf of the Station Manager, the Head of Operation of Freedom Radio Kaduna, Alhaji Jidda Usman assured the army the station support and cooperation in terms of airing news on the ongoing war against insurgency in the country, especially in Northeast.
