The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has commended personnel of the 407 Air Combat Training Group (ACTG), Nigerian Air Force Base Kainji, for their professionalism, discipline, and dedication to duty.
The CAS gave the commendation during an Easter luncheon organised in honour of the troops at the base. Represented by the Chief of Administration, Air Vice Marshal A.A. Martins, he praised the Group’s contributions to force generation, combat training, and mission support, describing them as critical to sustaining the operational readiness of the Nigerian Air Force.
He emphasised that personnel welfare and morale remain key drivers of combat effectiveness, reaffirming the Service’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for personnel to perform their duties with excellence.
The event, held as part of Easter celebrations, served as a platform to boost morale and strengthen unity among officers, airmen, and airwomen of the Group. It also highlighted the importance of leadership engagement and institutional support in enhancing operational efficiency.
In their response, the troops expressed appreciation for the CAS’s continued focus on welfare and inclusive leadership, noting that such engagements significantly improve motivation, cohesion, and their sense of belonging within the Service.
