The interim President of Wety Welani Fulbe Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Alkali Bello Waziri- Madagali has urged its members to be law abiding even as he said that the association was formed in order to protect the interest of nomadic in the country.
The President of the association who made this known on Saturday in Gombe while inaugurating care takers of six states in North- east zone, also assured them that the association would do it’s best to ensure that nomadic across the country get sense of belonging in the society.
He called on its members to unite and co-operate with the officials in their various states to enable the association succeed in order to implement its main objectives.
According to him, cattle rearers are been subjected to humiliation, which he said, the association found it necessary to address the problem and urged government to intervene in order to create grazing reserve for them to enable cattle rearers operate effectively.
Speaking further, Alhaji Bello said federal government has failed to tackle security challenges in order to restore peace in the North-east region where lives and property are being destroyed by the insurgents.
The interim President also said that nomadic in the country have lost confidence on the federal government because they have failed to protect the life of citizens, adding that even the forth coming
general elections in 2015 , the nation has lost confidence on the
present administration due to failure of government to protect the interest of Nigerians.
He advised its members to participate fully in the fourth coming general elections in order to vote credible leaders that will bring change for the development in the country.
