Chelsea’s new ownership group, Clearlake Capital, has pledged to compete at the highest level and win major trophies following the departure of Todd Boehly and Mark Walter.
Clearlake assumed full control of the Premier League club and, in a statement published on Chelsea’s website on Thursday, said its immediate priority was success on the pitch while maintaining long-term investment in the team and infrastructure.
The new owners thanked Boehly and Walter for their contributions to the club.
They said Chelsea was now moving forward with “a shared sense of purpose, clear direction and confidence in what comes next.”
“Our ambition is clear: to compete at the highest level, to win major trophies, and to build sustained success,” the ownership group said.
Clearlake said success on the pitch remained its top priority.
The group pledged to compete for the Premier League title and other major trophies while strengthening Chelsea commercially to support consistent investment in the squad.
The owners also reaffirmed their commitment to the club’s long-term infrastructure plans.
“We will keep working to move Chelsea forward, together,” the statement concluded.
