The President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama has called for a nationwide Holy Hour adoration prayer by all Catholic faithful in the country, for the recovery of the abducted Chibok girls.

A statement from the Catholic Secretariat, Abuja, said the problem of insecurity in the country portrays Nigeria in a negative light.

The CBCN president, therefore, called for a pro-active action from all Nigerians to end the menace. “We live in difficult times but nothing is so difficult beyond the Lord’s intervention”, he asserted.

Archbishop Kaigama also stated that the Church is considering organising another National Prayer Event, “as a remedy to all the insecurity, violence and anti-social activities plaguing the nation”.
