The Director, Chieftaincy Matters and Community Development of the Area Councils Services Secretariat (ACSS), Alhaji Jibrin Shaba received Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Leadership Award of Excellence from the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN).
While bestowing the award on the Director, the leader of the Northern Youth Council, Gambo Abubakar Mohammed disclosed that it was based on his meritorious and selfless services to the society.
Mohammed explained that the NYCN is an umbrella body of youths cutting across the 19 Northern States and FCT inclusive, with a shared vision of one people one common destiny as exemplified by the founding Fathers of Nigeria most particularly those of Northern extraction.
He further explained that the organization is community based, because they are into advocacy against religious tolerance and also against social vices .
Responding, Shaba who expressed deep joy and gratitude for the recognition of his humanitarian services, thanked the NYCN for the honour.
He therefore promised to put in his best for the good of humanity, because his passion in developing rural communities of the nation capital.
Shaba also advised the NYCN to live a good life worthy of emulation as well as good legacy behind; and also to stay away from greed.
