Ahead of the Christmas celebration, the Chairman of Amafor Ohaji Progressive Union in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Livinus Opara has called on the members of the Union to remain peaceful and united with one another including their neighbors before, during and after the Christmas period.
Opara, who made this call during the union’s end of year meeting in Kabwa, also urged the members of the union to always cultivate the habit of patience and endurance throughout the hardship facing the country.
He asked for the co-operation of the members in order to move the union forward and the country at large, noting that the union needs unity mainly for those living within and outside the country.
While narrating how his administration inherited a depilated structure and finance from the past a and finance from the past administration but today counted some milestone achievements of the present administration, the chairman thanked the present executives and members who believed in success, teamwork, unity and dedication.
In his speech, the Grand Patron of the union, High Chief Romanus Osuji, hailed the entire members of the union, and called on the sons and daughters of Amafor to join the union.
The high point of the meeting was the formally recognition and investiture of High Chief Romanus Osuji as the Grand Patron of the union for his immense contribution and unwavering support.
