The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) extends warm wishes to Christians across the country on this year’s Christmas celebrations urged them to follow the example of Jesus Christ by embracing His values of love, peace, unity, and tolerance in their devotion to God and the nation.
Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the National Chairman-elect of IPAC, emphasized in a statement shared yesterday that Christmas holds profound significance for believers, marking the divine birth of Jesus Christ, who came to redeem the world from sin.
He implored Nigerians to seize this occasion to pray for the nation, particularly addressing the security and economic challenges that hinder progressive governance.
The council calls on governments at all levels to fulfill the principles outlined in Section 14 (2)b of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, which states that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government. This, it believes, will alleviate the hardships faced by Nigerians.
As the umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria, IPAC remains committed to promoting and deepening democracy in the quest for a strong, equitable, prosperous, and just democratic nation.
