Zion Flames Ministries has marked its fifth anniversary with a humanitarian outreach to more than 300 widows and orphans in Ayobo, Lagos State.

The faith-based organisation distributed relief materials, including bags of rice, assorted foodstuffs and clothing, to support beneficiaries during the Christmas season.

The outreach formed the centrepiece of the anniversary celebration and was aimed at easing the burden faced by widows and orphans amid prevailing economic challenges.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the presentation, the Senior Pastor of Zion Flames Ministries, Apostle Momo Promise, said the programme reflected the ministry’s enduring commitment to compassion, service and community development.

He said the fifth anniversary was not only a time to celebrate growth but also an opportunity to give back to society, particularly to the most vulnerable.

“The essence of our calling is to serve humanity and demonstrate God’s love through tangible acts of kindness. Widows and orphans remain a priority for us,” he said.

According to him, the ministry has consistently supported vulnerable groups through welfare programmes, prayers, counselling and community engagement since its establishment.

Promise noted that the scale and impact of the organisation’s outreach initiatives had continued to expand over the years.

The ministry also commended its partners, volunteers and supporters, saying their contributions made the anniversary outreach possible.

Zion Flames Ministries reaffirmed its resolve to sustain and scale up its humanitarian interventions, stressing that compassion and service would remain central to its operations.

It added that similar outreach programmes had been carried out this year in Uganda and Cameroon, extending its impact beyond Nigeria.

The organisation called on individuals, corporate bodies and well-meaning Nigerians to support its efforts to uplift the needy and promote community development across Lagos State and beyond.

Beneficiaries at the event expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and reassuring during a difficult period.

One of the recipients, Mrs Ajileye, a widow, said the support had brought her joy and renewed hope.
