Citizens push for transparency in Taraba local governance

Taraba State citizens have called for increased transparency and accountability in local governance.
Peoples Daily reports that a one-day workshop was aimed at educating staff of local government service councils, commission, and state assembly on policy dialogue.
The workshop, organized by Women’ Right to Education (WREP) and FCDO, brought together representatives from Ardo-Kola, Gassol, and Jalingo Local Government Areas, and civil society organizations.
The communique signed by Rimamsanati I. Adamu (Chairman) and Agia Godwin (Secretary), highlighted the need for improved governance in Taraba State.
It called on local government officials to be more transparent and accountable in their dealings.
