Cleric harps on good governance

Date:

An Islamic cleric, Imam Nura Khalid, of the Apo legislative Mosque, Abuja has urged people at the helm of affairs to provide good governance to citizens and deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
He also called on politicians to be guided by the tenets and teaching of God in carrying out their political activities in the country.
According to him, politicians should endeavour to put God first, obey Him and do His will in the course of pursuing their political ambition.
He also charged them to be united and snub any act that may lead to political mayhem in their respective constituencies.
Furthermore, the cleric opined politicians must always be law abiding including their faithful as there cannot be development in any atmosphere where there is no peace and tranquillity.
