Pastor Michael Olatunde of Christ Apostolic Church in Abuja has urged Nigerians to demonstrate the forgiveness, love and peace which the resurrection of Jesus Christ signified.

Olatunde made the call during his Easter Sunday’s sermon in Abuja. He said that many people were celebrating Easter without knowing its significance, adding, and “Easter is for love. We need to love one another. We should also learn how to forgive.

“We cannot get to anywhere without forgiveness. If you do not forgive others, the Lord will not forgive you. Many prayers offered by some people today were not answered because they did not follow what the Lord says”, Olatunde said.

The Cleric condemned the recent bomb explosion at Nyanya Motor Park. According to him, the act is an indication that some people do not forgive or love others.

He said, “Nigeria is a blessed country, God blessed us with many mineral resources but what needs to be done is to love one another and forgive.”

Olatunde called on Nigerians to work in unity toward tackling the security challenges facing the country. “President Goodluck Jonathan cannot do it alone. If we love one another, we will be able to relate with one another, live peacefully and move the country forward but we are very selfish.
