The Chief Medical Director (CMD) off the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Prof. Yunusa Tahiru, has called on the highly placed individuals, Islamic organizations as well as corporate organizations to assist the orphans in the society, as the Muslim Forum for Orphans Empowerment (MFOE) launched the 2026 magazine.
Prof, Yunusa Tahiru, who was the Chief launcher at the occasion, said he would continue to partner with the leadership of the Muslim Forumfor the benefit of orphans.
He said: “We plead with the Muslim Community to always remain committed to the welfare of orphans and widows to alleviate their sufferings in the society.”
Also speaking, the National Ameer (President) of the Muslim Forum, Bashir Nuhu Gamagira, disclosed thatthe forum was established in order to help the orphans and widows in the community.
He said the leadership of the forum wotld continue to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged ones, adding that the leadership of the forum cares for the education of orphans and widows.
Gamagira, however, appealed to the government organizations, communityleaders, Islamic organizations and general public to continue rendering assistance to orphans and widows.
On his part, the guest lecturer at the occasion, Prof. Abdulazeez Bn Shitu, of the University of Abuja, in the Department of Islamic Studies, charged rich people to show concern to the orphans and widows.
