The Abubakar Gummi Market Business office of Unity Bank was hurriedly shut down yesterday, following allegation that one of the staff of the office were exhibiting some symptoms of COVID-19.
This was contained in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The statement stated that one of the staff at Business Office,
Kaduna came to work exhibiting some symptoms of COVID-19.
“ The staff was not allowed into the branch, rather, was isolated and the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Kaduna,
“While we await the test results of the employee, we encourage all our customers and stakeholders to maintain high hygiene
“Standards, practice social distancing, and make use of our alternate banking channels.
“We will provide updates as events unfold.” the statement said.
When our reporter visited the branch it was under lock and key.
A van of personnel of the Nigerian Army was seen keeping watch at the branch.
