The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State chapter, has inaugurated new Executive in Adamawa state
Daji Sani of ThisDay Newspaper, emerged as Chairman, Hussaini Hammangabdo of Leadership Newspaper as Vice Chairman, and Onimisi Alao of The Nation Newspaper as Secretary.
Others are Amina Abdullahi of Daily Trust as Treasurer and Fati Mohammed of Deutsche Welle (DW) Radio as Auditor.
The position of Secretary went to Awwal Adams of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), while position of Financial Secretary remain vacant.
Comrade Ishaka Dedan, state NUJ chairman charged the new Exco to adhere always to the NUJ constitution.
“Apart from your hold books, make the NUJ Construction to be your daily manna”.
Dedan commended the sportsmanship exhibited by members of the Correspondents’ Chapel by electing the new Exco peacefully through consensus, and wished them well in the performance of their roles.
During his acceptance speech, Daji Sani the newly sworn chairman, thanked the Correspondents’ Chapel members for their trust and promised that the EXCO would do its best not to betray them.
Sani lauded media organizations for giving them platform opportunity to practice and NUJ as mother union while promising to lead by example.
