Arewa Youths Vanguard has urged people to adhere to the preventive measures and guidelines issued by the Nigeria Center for disease control to guard against the spread of coronavirus in the country.
President of the Association Comrade Muhammad Kabir Uthman stated this in a release made available to newsmen in Kaduna.
The statement signed by the Director media and publicity to the Association Comrade Abdullahi Yakawada, stated that there is need to stick to advice by government and medical practitioners. He also solicited for support and solidarity for health workers so that they can effectively contain the pandemic.
The President of the Association expressed gratitude to the federal government as well as individuals and corporate bodies for the palliatives to the vulnerable and cash donations respectively to contain the virus.
Comrade Muhammad Kabir Uthman however urged the government to ensure that it monitors the distribution process for transparency and accountability.
In a remark, Secretary General of the Association, Comrade Sani Ishaq expressed the hope of overcoming the trial period, and urged the people to renew their faith in God.
