COVID-19: FRSC to enforce related guidelines to motorists in Gombe

The Federal Road Safety Corps in Gombe state said the command will enforce related guidelines to motorists inorder to ease the massive spread of coronavirus in the society.
The newly sector commander Mr. Ibrahim G.Ishaku stated this on Wednesday when he visited the correspondent chapel of NUJ Gombe on familiarization tour.
He said arrangement has been concluded to enforce these guidelines directed by the federal government.
Mr. Ishaku who promised to work harmoniously with Journalists in the state appealed that all hands must be on deck to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
He assured Journalists of open door policy which he said necessary measures would put in place to ensure that the media report their activities back to the public without hindrance.
According to him, the command will focus on motorists that plight the road should strictly adhere to the rules and regulations.
He said 13 seater bus should not carry more than 9 person and that the capacity which is 69 percent the arrangement of loading should be 2,2,1 while the 10 seater bus should not carry more than 7 person with arrangement loading of 3,3,1 and 4 seater saloon car should not carry more than 2 person.
The sector commander while advising motorists urged them to stay away from air conditioner when travelling.
He said all motor parks are to comply with the directives made by the command by providing hand sanitizers, soap and water to perssengers.
Mr. Ishaku also called on drivers to always use hands groove including face mask adding that perssengers are also advise to use face mask too.
Responding, chairman of the correspondent chapel Gombe NUJ Hajara Leman while receiving the newly sector commander promised a cordial relationship between the correspondent chapel and the command.
