The religious leaders of the two major religions in the country (Christianity and Islam) have again urged their faithful to go out and receive the ongoing COVID 19 vaccination.

Leadership of the two faiths in Mayo-belwa local government area of Adamawa state rekindle the clarion call in a separate interview with this reporter in Mayo-belwa at the weekend, expressing strong commitment over continuous sensitisation on the importance of the vaccination.

Rev. Briska Zaphaniah, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), Mayo-belwa local government stated that the governments at the state and local government levels have been involved in critical stakeholders in the mobilisation of people to avail themselves with the global realities of life.

Rev. Zaphaniah announced that his Association has been engaging the clergy men (pastors) manning over 400 churches scattered across the nooks and crannies of the local council.

He stressed that their followers have been responding positively.
