From Femi Oyelola in Kaduna

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani has said that creative industries are vital to every economy and hold the potential for nation-building, wealth creation, cultural preservation, and much more.
He asserted this in his remarks at the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the Kaduna Fashion and Arts Exhibition
(KAFART 2024) held in Kaduna yesterday
According to him, creative industries permeate different aspects of the
economy, and if effectively harnessed, can be economic drivers in any society.
Sani explained that creative industries encompass a wide range of activities, including fashion, arts, music, film, and crafts.
These activities according to him, not only showcase the people’s rich cultural heritage but also provide opportunities for entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity – values that are deeply ingrained in the Kaduna State spirit, as eloquently stated in its Governance Agenda.
They opined that the theme of this year’s exhibition, “From Whence We Came” invites the people to reflect on their historical roots and celebrate the cultural diversity that makes Kaduna State a unique and special place
“As a state, we recognize the importance of the creative economy and are committed to providing support to artists, designers, and creatives. We believe that by investing in the creative economy, we can unlock the full potential of our citizens and create a more prosperous and vibrant society.”
