Following renewed and sustained clampdown on smuggling activities, Kebbi State Custom Area Controller, Jo Attah  has said that the command has impounded a total number of 579 jerricans equivalent to 14,475 liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in Kebbi State.

He stated this yesterday while addressing Press conference in his office in Birnin Kebbi.

He added that the command has also sized 45 bales of second hand clothes, and 45 bags of foreign parboiled rice of 50KG each.

He explained further that another 320 sacks of scrap metals, two (Daf) trucks used as means of conveyance and one (1) used Ford Edge vehicle were also impounded.

He said that the Duty Paid value of the items stands at eighty seven million, seven hundred and seven thousand and nine hundred and eighty five naira (87,707,985).
