The Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, has admonished civil servants in the state to ensure that they kept their working environments clean at all times.
The SSG gave the admonition when he paid an unscheduled visit to the Cabinet Office Complex in Asaba, the state capital on Wednesday.
Chief Ukah frowned at the unkept environment of the Cabinet Office Complex which he said was a great embarrassment to the state government, adding that the complex played host to many visitors within and outside the state as it housed many sensitive government offices.
The SSG equally noted that keeping the office complex clean was also for the good of the workers, adding that it would keep off reptiles from coming into their offices.
Chief Ukah charged the Director of Cabinet Matters, Mr. Shedrack Ekpekurede, to ensure that the complex was immediately tidied up, adding that he would pay another visit to the complex to ascertain the level of compliance.
Mr. Ekpekurede, who took the SSG around the complex, assured him that the complex would be cleaned up before the next visit of the SSG.
