The Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria SMEDAN, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda has commiserated with the government and people of Katsina State over the recent flood disaster in Jibia that left in its trail deaths and destruction of properties worth millions of Naira in the state.
In a condolence message to the Governor of the state, Rt. Hon Aminu Bello Masari and made available to newsmen in Abuja ,the Director General who is currently in the United States of America on official duties described the incident as unfortunate and a disaster too much to bear ,it’s something we cannot avoid ,when it happens . We take solace in the fact that Allah gives and he takes.
While commiserating with families that lost their loved ones, Dr. Radda commanded the efforts of the state Governor Hon. Aminu Bello Masari for his rapid response to the disaster , he is indeed a proactive personality, I read from this side of the world the yeoman’s job the governor did during the flood disaster.
He also commended the Federal Government for its quick Intervention through the instrumentality of National Emergency Management Agency NEMA who synergised with the Katsina State Emergency Management Agency SEMA to ameliorate the hardship suffered by the displaced people.
The SMEDAN Boss paid glowing tribute to the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who personally visited the state to empathise with the state government and victims of the flood disaster. He has demonstrated true leadership and his words of assurance to victims would surely go a long way in raising hope for them.
Similarly the SMEDAN boss has described the death of the former Inspector General of Police and Sardaunan Katsina Alhaji Ibrahim Coomassie as a great loss to not only the Katsina Emirate Council but the nation as a whole. Dr Radda who also holds the traditional title of Gwagwaren Katsina noted that the late Sardauna would be remembered for his contribution to the growth of Islam and his commitment towards protecting the interest of Northern Nigeria.
He added that the late Coomassie was also passionate about peaceful c-existence among all ethnic groups in Nigeria .He prayed Allah to grant him eternal rest in Janatul Firdausi.
