As NAF jets kill scores of bandits in aerial patrols, free hostages in Kaduna

The Defence Headquarters on Monday, declared 19 terrorists wanted and placed N5 million bounty on each of them.
This is as Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jets, killed scores of bandits in an areal patrol.
The details of the 19 terrorists are contained in a poster released by the Director, Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Jimmy Akpor, on Monday in Abuja.
The information on the poster revealed that the N5 million cash reward is for anyone who could provide information that could lead to arrest of one wanted terrorist.
The wanted persons are notorious bandits/terrorists that have been terrorising Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara States, it said.
The wanted terrorists are as follows – Sani Dangote who hails from Dumbarum Village in Zurmi Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara Bello Turji Gudda from Fakai in Zamfara Leko from Mozoj Village in Mutazu LGA of Katsina State Dogo Nahali – Yar Tsamiyar Village in Kankara LGA of Katsina State Halilu Sububu from Sububu Village in Maradun LGA of Zamfara Nagona – from Angwan Galadima in Isa LGA of Sokoto State Nasanda from Kwashabawa Village in Zurmi LGA of Zamara
Isiya Kwashen Garwa from Kamfanin Daudawa Village of Faskari in Katsina State Ali Kachalla, aka Ali Kawaje, from Kuyambara Village in Dansadau Maru of Zamfara Abu Radde from Varanda Village in Batsari LGA of Katsina State Dan-Da from Varanda Village in Batsari LGA of Katsina;

Meanwhile, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jets have conducted aerial patrols over identified bandits enclaves in the Karawa area in Igabi local government areas, killing scores of bandits and setting many captives free.
Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan confirmed the development in a statement made available to the media yesterday.
According to Aruwan, in the Kawara area of Igabi, three bandits were confirmed neutralized by the strike, and some kidnapped victims were thus able to escape from the general area, as was later confirmed by credible human intelligence sources on the ground.
He said while ,in Walawa, Giwa LGA, an active location was targeted and struck successfully.
In Chikun LGA, Aruwan said, armed surveillance was carried out over Faka, Kangon Kadi, Damba, Ungwan Turai, Galbi, Gwagwada and environs. Terrorists were sighted about 4km Northwest of Godani, and were neutralized.
“In Kuduru, an active terrorists’ location was sighted and struck with rockets.
“In Igabi LGA, operations were conducted over Riyawa, Alhaji Isiaka, Rima, Riyawa, Rumana, Ungwan Liman, Mai Gishiri and the Kaduna Airport area, with no significant activity noticed. A similar situation obtained in Sabon Birnin, Anaba, Malumi, Wusono and Kerawa.
“Also covered by the aerial patrols were the Kaduna-Abuja road and rail line, as well as Jere, Katari, Olam Farms, Gwagwada, Sarkin Pawa, Abulo, Mangoro, Chikwale and environs. Normal human and vehicular activities were observed, with no threats encountered.
“The Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road and adjoining areas were similarly covered: Buruku, Labi, Udawa, Manini and Polewire up to Kajuru, Jaka da Rabi and Maguzawa.
“Normal activities were observed during aerial patrols over Kajuru, Kankomi, Kutura, Kuzo, Ungwan Magami and Ruga areas.
“The Governor of Kaduna State received the feedback with gratitude, and commended the fighter crews for their precision and consistency in the aerial missions.
“Ground and air patrols will continue in these and other locations,” the Security Commissioner said.
