Don to FG: Cattle Colony has no meaning

A University don has told the Federal government that the proposed Cattle Colony neither exist in English nor life Sciences dictionary.
The federal government through the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Audu Ogbeh had recommended Cattle Colony to states across to curb the menace of herders and Farmers attacks nationwide.
Dr. John Omoyakhi, a lecturer in the Department of Animal Science Department, University of Benin disclosed this at Democracy Lecture Series on Thursday in Benin City.
The theme of the lecture “the herdsmen menace in Edo state”, was organized by Gatekeepers in collaboration with state Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the United Nations International Republican institute.
Omoyakhi who spoke on the topic: “Technical options for responding to open Cattle grazing in Edo state”, said the impression of herders that all lands belongs to God and nobody should be restricted or confined to a particular location was offensive and unacceptable puzzle which require wisdom to resolve.
