Eagles humiliate Lesotho 4-2 in Maseru

Super Eagles yesterday defeated the hosts, Lesotho 4-2 in Maseru in the match-day 2 of the 2021 African Nations Cup qualifier.
Masoebi Nkoto in the 11th minute put smiles n the faces of the home fans when he scored to put his country ahead in Maseru.
The Thabo Senong tutored team went to sleep as the three-time African champions replied with two goals in twelve minute to come back to the driving seat in the tension soaked match.
Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze one goal apiece in the 26th and 38th minutes was enough for the group leaders to end the first half 1-2.
France based Lille striker, Victor Osimhen’s scored a brace in ten minutes to extend Nigeria’s lead in the 75th and 85th minutes.
Leganes defender, Chidozie Awaziem in the 90th minute put a goal in his own net to reduce the tally to 2-4.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are still topping the table with maximum 6 points from two games, while Benin Republic who pipped Sierra Leone 1-0 are second with 3 points.
