As Christians celebrate the arrest, trial, crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Senior Pastor of House of Purpose Ministry U/Sunday Chikun LocalGovernment Area of Kaduna State, Apostle Yakubu Yusuf, has urged Nigerians to continue to praise and worship God despite any hardship they may be experiencing.
The Clergy who spoke during the Easter Sunday Celebration and the Bettel Experience praise worship of the Church yesterday said apart from prayers, praises are another effective way of communicating with God and getting His attention to rescue Nigerians from whatever situation they found themselves.
Speaking in the sermon titled ‘’ Mysteries of he is rising’ he said that Easter is a period of remembrance that death is not the end of all things for Christians.
The cleric, who drew inspiration from the book of Luke Chapter 24 verses 1-12 said, “Easter is the remembrance/celebration of the events leading to the arrest, trial, crucifixion, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Apostle Yakubu stressed that It is an important period for Christians because it reminds them that somebody died so that others may live.
“This also calls our attention to the fact that we can be betrayed by those who are close to us. This period reminds us that our prayers are answered when God does His will in our lives, and not when we receive what we ask for.”
He therefore urged Nigerians not to be deterred by the current economic recession being experienced in the country but to commit total reliance on the faithfulness of God through fervent praises and prayers.
If you know and trust the faithfulness of God, then you will enjoy rest from every battle of life. You must understand the faithfulness of God,”
