The former Military Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar has urged Nigerians especially the Muslim ummah to Imbibe the tenets of Islam and to care for one another.
General Abubakar gave the advice during an interview after his two rakat prayers to mark the end of Ramadan fast at the Idi ground in Minna Niger state capital.
He emphasized that the country experienced relative peace within the period of Ramadan fast, hence such spirit should be sustained to ensure peace in Nigeria.
The Niger state Head of Service, Engineer Salisu Abubakar who led government delegation to the prayer session also called on Muslims to imbibe the teachings and lessions of the month of Ramadan by upholding the lessions learnt.
He urged the citizens to be prayerful on the challenges confronting the state and the country.
