Date:

The North Eastern Chapter, Activate Nigeria has commended the federal government for the recent defeat of the Boko Haram by soldiers in Konduga and other towns in Borno and Adamawa.

The Activate Nigeria gave this commendation yesterday in its Eid- el Kabir message, saying that, “As we rejoice with millions of our Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of Eid-el- Kabir, we are joyous that the recent defeat of Boko Haram by our brave soldiers in Konduga and other towns in Borno and Adamawa states has given space for Muslims in the affected places to join in having a relatively peaceful Sallah.

“This is a great testimony that government is highly concerned and is doing its best to curtail, bring an end and defeat these enemies of our collective existence. Lest we forget, the activities of Boko Haram are being regarded as un-Islamic by both Muslims and non-Muslim communities worldwide.

“Thus, non-Muslims have now realised that Muslims are peace loving people not terrorists. It is a few bunch of criminals who are tarnishing the image of this great religion. Our President has consistently stated this.

“We pray and hope for the continuous peace and harmony as it is the foundation of our mutual existence as one nation – Nigeria.
