Eid-ul Maulud:NOA urges Nigerians to unify for peace, development

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, while calling on all Nigerians to uphold the rule of law and unify for peace and development of the country.

On the celebration of the mbirth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, urges Muslims to embrace forgiveness and draw closer to the noble life and teachings of the Prophet, which remain a guide for peaceful and upright living.

Issa-Onilu adds that unity among Nigerians remains a vital weapon in the fight against insecurity, stressing that when citizens stand together and actively support security efforts, the nation is better positioned to overcome violence, restore peace, and build lasting stability.

This was contained in a statement signed by agency director of communication and media,Bala Musa and sent to Peoples Daily on Friday.

The DG describes Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a true embodiment of unity, peace, and compassion, urging Muslim faithful to draw lessons from his teachings and traditions by fostering tolerance and promoting national unity.

He prays for peace, unity, and progress across Nigeria, asking for wisdom and strength to guide President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he works to lead the nation toward growth and development.
