Date:

By Musa Baba Adamu

A former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi after months of silence has finally made his stance known about the next governorship election.
Fayemi made this known to the public at the All Progressive Congress, (APC) end of the-year get-together at his Isan Ekiti country home.
Addressing some issues concerning the party, the immediate past governor declared his support for Oyebanji’s second term.
While revealing that the date for the 2026 Ekiti Gubernatorial Election will be announced in April 2025, Fayemi also challenged anyone who feels he is capable of contesting against the serving governor to come forward.
“I’m a democrat, so I can’t discourage anyone from contesting for the governorship ticket. Anybody who feels capable can contest.
“But what I’m saying is that as for me and my family, we are for Oyebanji’s second term.”
