Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i has said that his government will continue to support religious organizations that teaches moral upbringing of youth in the state.
He made the remarks while handing over prizes and awards won by the states’ representatives at the just concluded National Qur’anic Recitation Competition held in Katsina State.
The governor who was represented by the Director General Bureau of Interfaith, Engineer Namadi M. Musa said the state is proud with their achievements and is ready to support individuals and oraganisations in pursuit of knowledge.
In his remarks, State Chairman of the Quranic Recitation Committee, Dr Muhammad Bello Salanken Zazzau thanked the state government for financial and moral supports which assist them attain the second overall winners at the competition.
In a statement signed by Bureau for Religious Affairs Public Relations Officer Yunusa Abdullahi made available to newsmen in Kaduna said six representatives from the state won various prizes at the competition.
