A Nigerian researcher in the area of phythomedicine, Pharm Ben Amodu has urged the Federal and State Governments to embrace herbal medicines, saying they have been using the branch of medicine to cure cancer and other communicable and non-communicable diseases in his African Alternative Medicine Hospital, AAMH, Abuja.
The researcher gave the advice to the governments while addressing journalists in his office during the recently marked World Cancer Day, WCD.
Reiterating on the need for both federal and state governments to embrace the branch of medicine, he said that it has succeeded where its orthodox counterpart has failed.
Informing Mr President that some difficult medical situations in the world can be resolved by phythomedicine in Nigeria, he said that there was a need to give the sector a listening, which if done, according to him would advance the country quickly. The international researcher therefore informed that they manage most critical health conditions, like Phybloid, Palochea Tube Blockade, Appendix, Hinea, Kidney Stone, Prostate Cancer, among others without operative procedures in his African Alternative Medicine Hospital, Abuja.
