Delta State Government on Tuesday identified wrong addresses given by some persons who may have been exposed to Covid-19 Pandemic disease as a major challenge in tracing of contacts to flatten the curve of the spread of the virus in the state.
Speaking at Rave Television monitored in Asaba, Delta state Information Commissioner, Mr Charles Aniagwu said that some of the information required from Persons contacted and tested for Covid-19 included their addresses and phone numbers, adding that the situation had remained frustrating.
Lamenting that in situations where such Persons tested positive to the virus, Aniagwu said that it became difficult to reach them for the administration of the treatment and isolation even as he pointed out that Covid-19 Pandemic disease was not a death sentence once diagnosed on time.
The information Commissioner worried that the prevalence of religious bigotry was such inhibiting to the true process of data in the state, Aniagwu explained how it negatively impacts the fight against Covid-19 Pandemic disease, emphasizing that the severity of the Pandemic disease that had ravaged the world since its outbreak in 2019, had been frightening and unacceptable to human beings.
