The Nigeria women senior national team will open camping today ahead of the 9th African Women Championship which runs from 11th to 25th October 2014 in Namibia.

A top official of the team, who said that twenty-four home based players are arrived Abuja yesterday.

The foreign based stars namely; Perpertua Nkwocha, Onome Ebi, Desire Oparanozie, Sunday Esther, Francisca Ordega and Osinachi Ohale are expected to beef up the team before they jet out of the country for the biggest women’s competition in Africa.

Inspirational skipper Evelyn Nwabuoku, who played a pivotal role during the qualifying campaign, is expected to lead the Nigeria Women Premier League players to kick start the long awaited camp.
