The Federal Commissioner representing Yobe State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Jibrin Maigari, has attributed his appointment and achievements at the Commission to the unwavering support of Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Speaking on his stewardship, the Commissioner emphasized that Governor Buni played a pivotal role in his emergence as Commissioner and in the progress made toward enhancing opportunities for the people of Yobe.

He said: “Governor Mai Mala Buni was instrumental to my appointment at the Federal Character Commission.” He said.

“Whatever successes we have recorded in ensuring fair representation for Yobe State are largely due to his visionary leadership and steadfast support.”

Maigari acknowledged that Yobe remains underrepresented in federal appointments, reaffirmed his commitment to bridging that gap through strategic engagement and sustained advocacy at the national level.

“It is our collective responsibility to ensure that Yobe gets its fair share in the federal landscape.

“I remain committed to that mission and deeply appreciate Governor Buni’s guidance, which continues to inspire our efforts”, he stated

The Commissioner assured the people of Yobe that his office would continue to work tirelessly to secure more employment opportunities for the youth, in line with the principles of equity and federal character.

Hon. Jibrin Maigari, fondly known as for his notable efforts in securing federal job placements for the youth, has remained committed to ensuring that Yobe indigenes benefit from fair representation in federal establishments.
