FCT: Criticism of Peter Obi misguided – LP AMAC chairmanship candidate

The Labour Party (LP) chairmanship candidate of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, (AMAC), in the forthcoming Council election of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Moses Paul, says criticism of former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on public primary schools condition was misguided.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television, monitored in Abuja, Paul said that exposure of public school conditions was not an attack on the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Paul is the Chairmanship candidate of AMAC under the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
“When clarity is not given to issues that bother around our livelihood; politics or governance, it allows confusion to thrive.
“This is something I have been doing for a very long time. This is not the first time I have taken Peter Obi to a school or healthcare facility to support community development in these institutions.
“It is important to note that public primary schools, local hospitals, and sanitation are all under the purview of the AMAC Chairman and have nothing to do with the FCT Minister,” he said.
His comment coming following Obi’s criticism of the government over the appalling condition of public schools in the nation’s capital, describing it as a national disgrace that exposes Nigeria’s hollow commitment to education.
Obi, who toured the LEA Primary School in Kapwa, Abuja, alongside Paul, said he was shocked to find classrooms without chairs or toilets, a scene he said no responsible nation should tolerate.
