FCT Football Team have emerged champions of the North Central National Sports Festival football zonal elimination in Kwara state.
The team led by Bala Nikyu defeated host state Kwara 1-0 in the final played Thursday to emerge champions.
Earlier in the tournament, the FCT Football team defeated Kogi State 7-1 in the opening match and walkedover Niger State to pick one of the two tickest for the March-April 2020 NSF in Edo State.
The 2018 gold medallist pummelled Kogi football team 7-1 on Tuesday at the University of Ilorin pitch and walked over Niger state football team.
With the two wins, the FCT team has picked their group A sole ticket and will be in Edo state in March for the 20th National Sports Festival.
The football team, Handball, Cricket have all booked their passage to Edo 2020. The North Central Zonal Elimination will end today in Ilorin, Kwara state.
